Hello Families,
We’re glad to be back in session after winter break, and kicking off the year right with winter activities! This week both Middle/High School activities and Community Ed youth sports began. It was great to see our students engaged safely with the extra precautions required by the state.
Next week we are bringing all Middle/High School students back into full, in-person learning, five days a week. For more information on this transition and correlating adjustments to the bell schedule for the Middle/High School, you can visit our website.
We are currently looking for substitute bus drivers and a custodian to join our team. If you or someone you know might be interested, please go to the employment page on our website, or call the district office to learn more.
Lastly, in December the board voted to submit our facilities investment plan to MDE for review and comment. Later this month the school board will vote on whether to pursue a bond referendum through a special election, and we want to make sure you have access to the information you need. SMTimetoRise.com is our dedicated facilities planning website that will be updated as the board makes decisions in this process.
Thank you all for a great first week back after break – we look forward to a little slice of normal as we transition to full, in-person learning for all next week!
With Gratitude,
Shane Tappe
Superintendent
