Dear Families,
The Governor announced today that local control will be given to school districts to decide their reopening plan for this fall. Based on the current statistics in the four counties we serve, Staples-Motley School District will return to full, in-person learning this fall. A refined distance learning model will be available for families who request it.
It is possible that throughout the course of this school year, based on local COVID-19 activity and under the guidance of MN Department of Health, that we may have to move between each of the three scenarios. In the coming weeks we will continue to monitor the situation. You will receive more details about any potential transitions between scenarios, and how we will communicate those transitions.
Our website has a dedicated COVID-19 page that will include all family skyward communications sent home, and additional details on our reopening plan. Please check the website for more information regarding the district’s response to COVID-19.
Next week we will be sending a survey to gather information so we can best prepare to serve your family this upcoming year.
Thank you for your continued support through this unprecedented time,
Shane Tappe
Superintendent
