About Staples-Motley Public Schools
Staples-Motley Schools serve over 1150 students, grades PreK - 12, in three sites throughout the District. Our enrollment contributes to a wide variety of educational opportunities, yet still is of such a size that each student is known and treated as an individual. Staples-Motley is a "right size" school district that offers:

Our school district lies within the communities of Motley and Staples. We are a rural district that includes parts of Cass, Todd, Morrison, and Wadena counties.
Motley hosts early childhood education; Staples hosts a K-4 elementary school and a 5-12 High School. A Pre K - 5 Parochial School is also an option for families.
The community of Staples-Motley is committed to its school district. It has a strong agricultural base, but is also home to major business, small businesses, and governmental agencies. Examples include: 3M, Trident, Morey's Fish, Sterns Manufacturing, Lakewood Health System, and Sourcewell to name a few. Several of these businesses are currently in the process of expansion.
The Staples-Motley Community offers many services including, medical, dental, eye care, law enforcement, fire departments, a Community Center, and pre-K through college education.
Recreational and cultural opportunities also abound here: snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, two golf courses, Summer Youth Recreation, adult leagues, theatre, music, and community education courses and activities. We hope you can visit us soon!
